I went glass fusing at Plymouth Clay Art with my mum! http://www.clayart.co.uk/ they are pre-fired dishes. The top two are mums and the bottom two are mine! I can't wait to see how they come out of the kiln! x

Beneath - IF

Lilly was creeping up to bed,

her teddy in her hand,

he slipped and tumbled step by step,

she wanted to fetch him straight away,

but was scared of what lay beneath!

(I'm not sure how to use digital colouring because I'm very new to it and could use some lessons but please let me know what you think! x)

Old-Fashioned - IF

A good old-fashioned watercolour inspired by my daughter soundly asleep in her pushchair. We really are an old-fashioned family; my husband works and I look after our little girl and our home and I feel like the luckiest person in the whole world!

These are the artist trading cards (3.5 X 2.5 in) that I have made and submitted for Septembers swap in the ATC UK facebook group (see link on blog below this). I have sent 4 to be traded and kept one for my own file. They are on handmade paper and are mixed media. I had so much fun making them and hope that more and more people will join the monthly swaps.

Artist Trading Cards

I have recently found out about an artform that is both inspiring and exciting, Artist Trading Cards, they are cards the size of traditional sports trading cards but are original pieces of artwork just in minature. Artists swap them, for fun rather than profit. I have decided to join two facebook groups that hold monthly swaps and have already finished my first series. The first is all medias but the second is based soley on photography! I am really enjoying it and hope that many more people will become involved. Atmosphere - IF

The moment that I held her,
The atmosphere of my life began to change,

No longer scared,

No longer unsure,

I knew I would love her forever more.

(My little Lilly can never decide what to wear and so the atmosphere in her bedroom is at best chaotic but she is always so much fun!

Star Gazing - IF

She wears her heart upon her sleeve,

She sits and stares up at the stars,

Makes a wish and sets it free!

Caged - IF

Once I caught some PercyBugs,
I put them in a cage,
They really didn't like it
And they always misbehaved!

So, one day I set them free,
They squiggled out that cage,
Each PercyBug smiled at me,
And promised to visit some day!

Wilderness - IF

Wilderness -

Roaming in the wilderness,

exploring and discovering,

Lilly was looking for some new friends but she just couldn't get close enough,

before they got to scared!!!

(My little girl and her Uncle Kai made some lovely playdough creatures and I just had to give them a background, they were so full of character so I used my graphics tablet and had some fun! I just hope she doesn't eat them hehe! Comments more than welcome ... x)

Confined - IF

Each little flower fairy in her own little box,

Confined for lack of a background,

Within her own little space!

(outline drawn on paper and transfered to the computer using a graphics tablet where I coloured and mounted them. I am very new to using the graphics tablet so any advice is very much appreciated!)
